Suggest Treatment For Broken Ribs

I broke 3 ribs after tripping over my cat about 3 years ago. I was xrayed and the doctor confirmed that ribs were broken but did nothing. Now I can't twist without extreme pain....the injury took place on my left side. This injury doesn't want to heal.What can I do?

Hello,
Cracked ribs should heal within a few months. If you are still having pain then you may have some non-healing fractures or nerve impingement. You need to see an orthopedic doctor and may need a CT scan or MRI to sort out what is causing you ongoing pain.
