What Is Meaning Of Asymmetric Near Collapse Of Right Occipital Horn?

We recently returned from the hospital, after my son took a fall. He is 11 months old. He s fine, just a minor bruise right now. The Dr s discovered a asymmetric near collapse of the right occipital horn? What does that mean in relation to my son s health?

Hi
Welcome to the HCM

The asymmetry can be due to normal variation commonly seen in infants or it can be a depressed fracture skull. In cases of depressed fractures, Xray skull is useful for diagnosis.
As the doctor has not suggested any further investigations, so fracture is a less likely possibility.
