Hello,
Granuloma is a group of immune cells that form when the body is trying to eliminate foreign substances. For some reason if the body is unable to remove them then a group of cells are formed around the foreign substance to protect the body.Granulomas are formed due to many diseases and its like an inflamatory process. Many diseases like tuberculosis, leprosy, sarcoidosis etc can cause them. Its not exactly a disease but it needs to be biospsied to determine what caused the reaction and if the disease is still active or not.Treatment will be of the cause.
