What Is Causing My Low Blood Pressure And Heart Palpitations?

I started taking Verapamil SR 180 last night to replace flecainide (last dose was 36 hrs earlier). I have PSVT and arry thmia plus valve defect. All day I have had repeated, almost constant, palpitations, much worse than before. Heart rate is freq very slow. BP has become low 116/60. Should I cut the tablet in half?

Hi welcome to HCM.
You seem to have been taking higher dose of verapamil which is causing low blood pressure and heart rate.Have a baseline EKG and a 24 holter to assess the response to therapy.Adenosine can be safer alternative to verapamil.Consult your cardiologist for dose reduction of antiarrythmics.Have a baseline 2 dimensional echo to evaluate cardiac reserve.
Thank you
