What Is Causing A Lump On The Side Of My Neck?

Hello.

Ive noticed a lump in the side of my neck about 2 inches down from my ear.

I had tonsillitis abnout 3 weeks ago and thought it was just part of the swelling or something.

But its still there.

Its really bugging me and im getting a little worried now.

Any idea on what this could be?

Hello

Lump over neck area may be due to enlarged lymph node.It need clinical examination and investigations.
Neck area is a common site of lymph node enlargement.It may be due to neck,scalp or throat infection.Other causes of swelling may be lipoma etc.
In your case,swelling may be related to history of tonsillitis.
You may need ultrasound of neck region.
Generally it resolves with treatment of underlying cause.Generally it is not a serious problem.
