What Is A Soft Spot On The Forehead Of A Child Suggestive Of?

My 6 year old grandson has a soft gooey spot on forehead. It has been there for about a year. He is normal active and started kindergarten this year. To me it seems to have spread from a quarter size to the width of 2 quarters. He doesn t complain and had a normal checkup before the school year. However I m stil concerned. Should I be?

hello. the soft spot can be soft tissue swelling which is completely harmless and may contract over te period. if the swelling is increasing in size then also it can be same but there is chance of other type of growth which is to be ascertained by the clinical examination and tests like FNAC.no need to worry much , just visit a skin / surgical specialist for the proper check up. have a good day
