What Is A Recurring Bump On The Gums Above The Premolar Suggestive Of?
Hello doctor.I am 22 years old, female.I have a pimple like bump in my gum of upper right second premolar tooth. It does go away and come again. This is happeninf for the past month or so.When it becomes big if i press my gum it kinda feel numb.Even if i press my cheek it feels numb. What is it and what should i do?Thank you in advance.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a pimple like bump on the gum can be due to causes like deep gum infection leading to accumulation of debris and bacteria deep into the gums causing infection and boil formation..
It can also be a gingival abscess due to deep infection in gums..
In case if the premolar tooth is decayed then it can be a tooth abscess..
I would suggest you to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis..
In case of gum infection deep scaling and a course of antibiotics can help..
In case of tooth abscess, Root Canal Treatment of tooth followed by antibiotics and painkillers will provide permanent resolution..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
