What Helps Dry Itchy Skin On Leg?

I have dry skin in my leg and recently due to the dryness it got itchy and some small wounds occured... I put lotion but the dry skin and itchiness remains and the wounds don t seem to heal! The scabs form but they dont dry off and fall away. Why is this?

Hello,

For extreme dryness, I suggest you to use a intensive moisturizer e.g. Urea/ lactic acid based moisturizer. It would be better to also take an oral antihistamine e.g Cetirizine or Hydroxyzine for symptomatic relief from itching. Specifically for the wounds you may use a topical antibiotic e.g Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin ointment.
