Hallow Dear,

Since you have protected your intercourse by taking I-pill within one hour of the condom burst incidence, you need not worry about the possibility of pregnancy. It is fairly reliable post coital emergency contraceptive pill. However, if at all you miss your period, you may confirm the pregnancy status by pregnancy test on overnight morning first urine sample a week after the missed period since earlier the test may report false negative results. Alternatively, you may opt for Beta hCG test 10 days after this incidence of condom burst intercourse.

I-pill contains Levonorgestrel as an active reagent, which is a progestational preparation. Progestational medicines do not increase the vaginal discharge; in fact they reduce the vaginal discharge.

Thick white copious vaginal discharge is more suggestive of some vaginal infestation; mostly fungal (yeast) or Trichomonial. Since it is thick discharge, it is more likely to be fungal infection.

Fungal infections can be treated by antifungal medicines; either locally of systemically. Along with these medicines it is advisable to have vaginal Lactobacilli ovules and Lactobacilli perineal wash. It helps speedy recovery.

These infections can be sexually transmitted. Hence, both the partners should take the treatment simultaneously lest the risk of recurrence. Also, please observe absolute sexual abstinence till both of you are completely cured as declared by the Gynaecologist.

Please report to a Gynaecologist for appropriate diagnosis of the discharge and apt treatment.

I hope this helps you.
