What Does This Ultrasound Report Of Thyroid Mean?
What does it mean? Thyroid US. R lobe of thyroid gland 2.5x1.1x1.0cm Left lobe 2.3x09x09cm Isthmus measures 3.4 mm. There were some thyroid nodules noted on the prior examination (2012) but no well defined or discrete nodules identified on today s examination. There is heterogeneous appearance to the thyroid gland, but no define nodules. There s some nodules adjacent to the thyroid gland, but these probably related to small lymph nodes. No pathologically size lymph notes identified. Any concern for cancer?

I am Dr Kingson would like to answer your concern on lymph node that is present adjacent to thyroid gland. There is nothing to worry as it is normal one that is seen in all people. it doesn't have role to be malignant like cancer. You are perfectly good.. Have good exercise and good life style habits.
