What Does This Ultrasound Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
My daughter was recently in the ER and they told us the inferior margin of the placenta appears to cover the internal cervical os completely. Also there is a small crescentic fluid collection at the inferior margin of the sac measuring 1.7x1.9x0.5 cm which could represent a small subchronic hemorrhage. could you explain this to me in terms i could better understand?
Hi, -your ultrasound impression is that the placenta is covering the internal os and this causes difficulty during labour . Its called Placenta Previa . -There is a hemmorrhage in the placenta which declines the overall functioning of the placenta . -Please consult your obstetrician for further medication and advice.
Thank You
