I Was just diagnosed with an enlarge uterus containing small leiomyoma... uterus noted to measure 11×7.4×6.1 cm in size...uterus is mildly retroverted in position..luminal area is 18mm in thickness there is a 1.4×1.2×1cm sub fundal body region of the uterus anteriorly. Adnexal area identified and right ovary measures 3.9×2.5×2.4 and left 4.4×2.8×2.3cm in size. What does all this mean?
Your findings suggests enlarged uterus with small fibroid. Fibroids are benign tumours and it can be managed by both means conservative or surgical. Treatment depend upon age of the patient, symptoms, family is completed or not etc. Since you have small fibroids,it may only need conservative treatment.
Endometrial thickness varies with the stage of menstrual cycle.Other findings are normal. Findings need clinical correlation.
