General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, the issue sounds to be dysfunction of the thyroid gland from various possible reasons as nodular goiter from hypo or hyperthyroid functioning with alteration in thyroid hormone levels.

* It is mandatory to get thyroid hormone levels in form of TSH & free T 3 T 4 levels with Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology of the prominent nodule to decide management plan and further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
