Hi I am a 37 years old male, 198lbs, with cholesterol total of 155, triglycerides of 228, hdl cholesterol 31, vldl cholesterol cal 46, LDL cholesterol calc 78, T. Chol/hdl ratio 5.0, non-hdl cholesterol 124.... What those numbers mean?.. Am I in really bad health? Am I going to have a heart attack soon?

Thanks for writing to HCM

You have increased triglyceride level. No,you are not going to have a heart attack soon.
It is important to know proper clinical history and need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Ultrasound of abdomen,ECG in all leads.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You should increase your physical activity in the form of exercise,walking etc.
You should avoid red meat,high fat milk products,fried and fatty food and should take lot of vegetables and fruits in your diet.
You should also try to reduce your weight.
