What Does This Pregnancy Test Report Indicate?

I just had a pregnancy test done (blood test). The results were exactly this... TEST: hCG beta subunit, qual serum - RESULT: positive - FLAG:Abnormal - UNITS:mIU/mL negative 6. I don t understand the negative 6. Would it be possible to explain this to me?

There is a reference range- meaning a value at which the test is considered positive, for every test, and it is displayed usually on every lab report. For this example- it means anyone with a level is over 6 miu/ml is considered a positive test. The Qualitative test does not show your result number- it just means it is higher than 6 and therefore positive. Hope that this answers your question
