dr told me I have fluid in my left overy that has been there for a number of years. While watching it in Aug I was told to come back and see if it shrank. I had a pelvic sono and was told that my number was 7 something and that it grew. What can this be?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your questions. Fluid in the ovary is suggestive of an ovarian cyst, which can be benign or malignant. The differentiation can be made by ultrasound, by its features and blood flow. Moreover, increase in size over time can be a indication of malignancy. You should get further MRI and blood levels of tumor markerCA-125 to make a proper diagnosis and treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Neeraj Kumar
