General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be drawn based on the laboratory report you have furnished.
1. Serum bilirubin (Total) with 8.76 mg/dl is higher than normal.
2. Bilirubin direct with 7.23 mg/dl is higher than normal.
3. Bilirubin indirect with 2.53 mg/dl is higher than normal.
4. Liver enzymes namely SGOT with 1048 U/L and SGPT with 807.5 U/L are higher than normal.
5. Hepatitis C virus infection seems to be negative.
Hence, it appears to be a case of viral hepatitis causing liver cell damage. You need to seek Physician evaluation and opinion promptly for further management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
