Hello,

HIV RNA Testing can find HIV in the blood 9-11 days after the person is infected with the virus, its accuracy rate is 95%. (However clinical assessment should always be done as testing alone cannot be used to diagnose AIDS). Index value (1.53 of the report) is not good. Values between 09 -1.0 are borderline. Non reactive means HIV negative for RNA Reflux HIV 2 ab & HIV 1 ab (As shown in the report). However, negative results can come if the quantity of marker present in the sample is below the detection level of the assay. But it shows repeatedly reactive for hiv 1/o/2 abs. A reactive result is considered positive, means HIV antibodies were found. You are suggested clinical assessment along with appropriate counseling, medical evaluation (also of the symptoms) & probably repeated / additional testing to decide if the diagnosis confirms HIV infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
