What Does This CT Scan Result For Flank And Pelvic Pain Suggest?

HI. I ve been having some flank pain, lower back pain and some lower pelvic pain on the right side, on and off for about 2 years now. I went to the dr and she ordered a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis with contrast. The results showed i have a hydroureter on the right side but no visible cause. I was told to see my urologist. I asked her if there was any cancer visible on the ct and she laughed (i can be quite the hypochondriac) and said no. - However, all the information I ve seen about hydroureter with no kidney stones visible has pointed to some kind of gynocological cancer in woman my age. (44) I m not pregnant and I haven t gone through menopause yet. I have been getting irregular periods in the past year or so which I just assumed was perimenopause. I will say that the pelvic pain and the back pain is around the time I m getting my period. Could it just be ovarian cysts?...I ve been diagnosed with them but I m hoping that s what it is. I have also had about 4 or 5 UTI s in the past year and a half but none in the past 6 or 8 months. - any information would be helpful. I don t know anyone who s had this hydroureter before.
