What Does The X Ray Result Regarding Tb Indicate?

I would like to ask for the x-ray results of may mother about the predominantly fibrotic kochs in both upper lung. the chronic interstitial lung changes in the right lower lung is unchanged. No new infiltrate seen, Heart is enlarged. Aortic arch is calcified. I would like to ask if may mother had a TB? is she affected of it? thanks and God Bless.

Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.
According to the X-ray, your mother had suffered from TB previously and at present she is not having any new lesions or active infection due to TB.
The previous infection has affected the lung and few areas have undergone fibrosis. Those areas cannot be recovered, but it does not cause any problem. It is chronic disease and will not go on subsequent X-rays.
Unless she has any active infection, there is nothing to worry about.
