Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 5-6wks in pregnant. I had a vaginal ultrasound yesterday which showed two sacs, in one the emrbyo was visible but the DR. could not find the embryo in the second sac. should i be worried? The Dr. told me I would need to wait a week to repeat the ultrasound for more definitive information .

Hi, thanks for sharing your health concerns with HCM!
I've gone through your situation and can perceive the magnitude of concerns building within you!
In fact, this kind of reports are variable and might change according to the position of the uterus/fetus but for the time being it indicates absent of fetus in the second sac! It is a concern of worry definitely but still you have to wait as per the sonologist's advise till next scan!
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
