Hi, You have been diagnosed to have a single small stone in right kidney and a few small stones in left kidney. One of the stones from left kidney has dropped into the ureter (the tube connecting kidney to urinary bladder). Vesicoureteric junction denotes the site where ureter joins with bladder. This has caused mild swelling in the left kidney due to obstruction. Otherwise your kidneys are apparently normal. The stone in ureter usually causes pain in left flank with or without vomiting and burning urination. Usual treatment is an alpha blocker (eg. Tab. Tamsulosin) and pain relieving medications. If the pain does not subside or kidney function deteriorates or infection sets in, then it needs to be removed immediately. Otherwise, the stone can be monitored and if does not pass in 4 weeks then it can be removed using endoscopy (URS, ureterorenoscopy). After treatment for the ureteric stone, you need to be evaluated to find out the cause of stone formation.
