Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

The osteophytes refer to degenerative changes in the bone which are common with advancing age.
The space occupying lesion at the odontoid process is a concern as it appears to be a tumor which can be a neurofibroma. This must be discussed in detail with a neurosurgeon and treatment may be taken depending on size of tumor and symptoms its causing.
