What Does The Meaning Of Fibroglandular Tissues With Dominant Focal Area In Mammogram?
I recently had a mammogram and was told that it showed fibroglandular tissues with dominant focal area of focal stromal density in the deep aspect of the right breast. What does this mean. I was on vacation in Florida when i had this done. I actually went in because i had trouble swallowing some foods and they told me i needed a mammogram. I am now back in Tennessee and don t really have a doctor but i am concerned.
Thank you for your question and concern. The fibroglandular tissues mean there is increased tissue mass in that areas. no need to worry since no difinite mass seen . This may not be associated with difficult in breathing or swallowing it's better to investigate this by other tests such as chest x Ray Endoscopy and manangement will depend on the out come.
