OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Your sonogram report says that the fetus which is in cephalic position has dilated cerebral ventricles. The second fetus has shown normal study. The placenta is in the upper segment of the uterus and the amount of amniotic fluid is normal. The ventriculomegaly is moderate based on the measurements. Other tests for chromosome anomalies may be done. So many times, when no other pathological association is found, fetuses with ventriculomegaly have been shown to grow into normal babies after birth. Hope this helps.
