What Does The Following Angiography Result Indicate?
Hello...I had a heart attack when I was 43 and the cardiologist ballooned out the blockage without a stent and I have been on meds ever since. Yesterday I did an Angiography and the results are as follows: Aorta Pre (mm/Hg): 130/80 Post (mm/Hg): 140/80 LM: Normal LAD: Proximal 50-60% (disease progression from previous cath) LCX: Mild Plaquing Ramus: mid 40% small to medium size vessel RCA: Mild Plaquing, dominant vessel Kindly give me the prognosis in simple lay man terms on the above results? Thanks and Tc
The above angiography report suggests block in the previously ballooned vessel, and blocks in other vessels, but as these are not occluding blood supply they are usually treated with medications like clopitab, aspirin, and stating. Normally angioplasty is preferred if there is complete block in major blood vessel, and blocks in 2 vessels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pavani
