What Does The Exercise Tolerance Test Show?

Baseline ECG revealed NSR, normal QRS axis, No significant ST segment depression in supine position or during standing and hyperventilation. At peak exercise there was ST segment depression of 1.5-2.3mm in leads 2-3aVF & 1.3-3.0 mm in leads V3-V6. These changes appeared in the 2nd stage of exercise & lasted for 1 minute in recovery. Normal heart rate response seen. Normal BP response. Fair exercise tolerance. No S3, S4 murmur / crepts during recovery. No chest pain. No significant arrhythmia seen. Conclusion : Test is positive for inducible myocardial ischaemia. Fair exercise tolerance. Normal HR and BP response. DR. SANGE please suggest

Hi welcome to HCM.
Stress test in your case revealed ST segment depression in the chest and limb leads.This suggests impaired blood supply to antero-inferior portions of the heart due to underlying stenosis of the coronary vessels.These changes are brought on by the exercise.I advise you to have a coronary angiography to accurately document the obstructive lesions.Coronary angioplasty and in situ stenting can be the curative treatment of choice.Consult you cardiologist at the earliest.
