I have a single hard node in my neck on the left side just above the clavicle. It is non painful and does not appear to be growing. The doctor said it was a shotty lymph node and does not require further diagnostic workup or treatment. Please elaborate.
Hi. Anything which is not normal for the body should be investigated. Particularly true if this is a shoty node. This can be a cancer or Lymphoma or Tuberculosis. I would advise you FNAC and CT scan of the neck and chest to see if there is a primary Cancer or infection or TB. The treatment will depend upon the diagnosis. If required for for Excision Biopsy.
