General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion, you have adenomyosis. There are layers of the uterus. Simply put, one layer has invaded another, causing bleeding for the longer time duration. Now, the important part is that I will give medicinal treatment which can do upto a mark. But after that, if you continue to have the same as now, we should think about surgery (removal of Uterus) depending on your family planning status and severity of this condition.

I would like to give this treatment:
1. Danazol 200 mg twice a day for 6 months. After that, you must do another Pelvic Ultrasound. Then, We must reconsider what should be done. There are two options - 1) continue the Danazol medicine. 2) Danazol has not done anything good. So, go for surgery depending upon the factors said above.

2. For extreme pain, take Dicyclomine hydrochloride.

Please post the results of the tests here so that a doctor can follow you up after 6 months of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
