What Does Pain And Burning Sedation In Hands/wrists After Childbirth Indicate?

Hi! I am a 32 year old female. I have a two year old. I m mentioning this because I know pregnancy & child birth can sometimes cause things...however these symptoms began when my son was a year old. I have pain in both my wrists. They feel sprained. I sometimes get cramping in my hands when doing things like writing or dishes. Also a burning sensation from between my pinky and ring fingers that runs all the way to my elbows. They bother me often, however I ve noticed the pain gets worse around the time I have my period? I did not injury my wrists when the pain started a year ago and in the beginning it was my right wrist/hand. Now it s both...same symptoms. Any thoughts on what this may be would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

There is nothing much to worry as it is a self limiting factor. Start with vitamin D and calcium supplements and you will be fine.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
