What Does My Uterus Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
I had a US done three days before my period and this is what came back. The uterus measures 10.9x3.8x5.9cm. An intrauterine devise is noted. The uterus remains heterogeneous. The endometrium is poorly defined with an estimated dimension of 7 mm. Two small intramural lesions are identified with the uterus of 6 mm in the anterior mid body and 1 cm in the right lateral posterior fundus. typical of fibroids. the ovaries are normal in size and there is no free fluid. Nobothian cysts are incidentally noted.
1.The repost suggest uterus is bulky with presence of fibroids with in the myometrium of the uterus. 2.And there are few nobothian cysts seen - which usually does not needs any active intervention unless any mass effect. 3.In this case the treatment is hormonal therapy and monitor the size of the the uterus. 4.In small size like mentioned in report - they may regress in size. 5.But definitive treatment is operative, depending on the age of the patient and reproductive status the procedure will be selected.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
