What Does Mild Infrequent Premature Atrial Contractions Indicate?

I m a male 35 years old, I recently had my heart monitored by a holter monitor for one full day. When I received the results, everything was fine as far as my heart rate. The results also indicated that I have a mild infrequent premature atrial contractions - 1% of total beats Should this be a concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for your question.
Not a concern. Premature atrial contractions are a benign type of rhythm disturbance. They can be triggered by stress or stimulants like coffee, tobacco or chocolate. If you are consuming a lot of these substances then you might back down on them but this type of rhythm disturbance is not a concern.
