Hi. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
I read your query. Microangiopatic disease is the disease affecting small vessels of body. In your case brain as you said MRI by neurologist. Chronic means long standing disease. Microangiopathic disease is usually due to underlying cause like diabetes, hypertension, etc.
So the small vessels in brain become thick and weak and supply less blood to brain. This cause mild atrophy or shrinkage of that portion of brain. However, at the age of 50 and above, its quiet common. Also your report suggest its mild.
You need to find underlying cause if you already dont know like diabetes etc.
Maintain blood sugar, blood pressure, stress level.
Regular exercise. Maintain healthy body weight. Take good diet. Visit your neurologist for any further test or medication required.
Hope the answer helps you. Thank you!
