What Does Low WBC Count Along With Severe Fatigue Indicate?

Lymphocyte %     19 %     26.0 - 46.0 % I am currently taking propylthiuricil for hyperthyroidism, and multi toxic nodular thyroid. I am concerned about my white blood cell counts. These were consistently low now for approx 5 months. Also symptoms, of heart issues and fatigue, I feel like I am constantly fighting off a viral bug of sorts.
I have an appointment with my G.P. in November. Just interested to what your opinion is. I am going to bring this information up to my GP at my appointment.
thank you.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern.

1. Propylthiouracil is an antithyroid drug used to treat hyperthyroidism and multi toxic nodular goitre and "Agranulocytosis" is a potentially life-threatening side effect of propylthiouracil therapy and occurs within 3 months of starting the therapy, so fever, sore throat, leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia, [ pancytopenia] may also occur, so in my opinion, it should be discontinued in consultation with your attending doctor and the patient bone marrow indices should be obtained.

2. Propylthiouracil may cause hypoprothrombinemia and bleeding, thus monitoring of prothrombin time [PT] & INR should be considered during therapy with the drug, especially before surgical procedures.

PS. Stop taking propylthiouracil and call your doctor at once.
