What Does Hypoechoic Nodule In An Ultrasound Indicate?

I had a us the other day and the findings were 9x7x7mm heterogeneous hypoechoic nodule with peripheral vascularity adjacent the the left carotid artery, the biopsy was cancelled, they told me that it was not suspicious, have not seen my endo yet, my pcp feels the same way, but should it grow it could press and cause headaches and earaches? Said I should have another us in 6 months, I m thinking maybe 3 months..also, since I am borderline hyperthyroid, would giving thyroid meds help shrink the nodule..I ve had other cysts and everything was clean, this nodule is something new within the last year..thanks

Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
*Hypoechoic nodule relates to Lymph Node enlargement due to vivid
reasons - Nonspecific - Tuberculosis - Lymphomas - HIV manifestations -
many more benign & carcinoma conditions .
*As per by experts treating you it has been told not suspicious , it seems
most probably as Non-specific category.
*Just relax, get regular evaluation of size at 3months intervals for progress/
regress .
@Thyroid medicines are not going to make it shrink.
Hope this clears your query.
