Hi Arunodaya neerati,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

There are 2 anti thyroid antibodies. Anti TPO and anti TG.

Anti TPO antibodies are anti thyroid peroxidase antibodies- which are elevated in Hashimoto's disease. Elevated antibodies means you are at risk of developing Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. At present the thyroid function is normal and no treatment is needed. But she may develop hypothyroidism in future.

In this type of cases what I do is to do thyroid function tests every 6-12 months and start treatment only when thyroid function shows hypothyroidism.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

Regards,
