What Does High Albumin Level In Fasting Blood Test Indicate?Suggest Remedy
I just got the results back on a fasting blood test. The doctor said I received an "A+" on my lab work. When I was looking at the results I noticed the albumin was 5.1 which is a bit high. The doctor did not mention it to me. What does this mean and what can I do to lower it?

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. High albumin is nothing to worry about. Different laboratory have different values. 2. The normal range is 3.4 to 5.4 and yours is well within the standard normal limits 3. It indicates good nutrition and good liver function. 4. Possible causes if indeed high could be due to dehydration, or previous day high protein intake.
Nothing to worry.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
