What Does Hard Bump On Head On Middle Top Left Side Suggest?
I have a bump on my head on the middle top left side.its hard, deosnt hurt about the aize of a quarter.i noticed it about14 years ago.the size of the tip of my pinky finger. My aunt referred to it as a marble knot.from being bonked real hard on the head.can you tell me what a possibility it could be.Is it life threatening?can i send a photo of it online somewhere? Thanks
Dear thanks for the question and for choosing HCM.
It could be originated from bone, scalp skin glands, or a dermoid. Physical examination like it's colour, exact location (on skull bone joints or in middle of bone), hairs, hardness etc. It would be good if you can send a photograph of this lump. Or else visit a general surgeon in your area for examination. It seems to be harmless, but cell study or biopsy will confirm its nature. If needed it can be removed by a surgery.
I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write to hcm for follow up queries. Hit a thanks. Thank you
