Hello ma'am and welcome.

Diastolic notching of the uterine artery whether unilateral or bilateral indicates an increased uterine resistance which can result in impairment of blood supply to the placenta and result in various complications like growth retardation of the fetus, miscarriage, preterm labour, etc. The use of ecospirin will help in thinning the blood and improve delivery of blood to the placenta and thus the fetus.

Hope this is clear.

Best wishes.
