What Does Burning Sensation During Urination Indicate?

HI. I THINK I HAVE A uti. i took a urinalysis test and it says that i have leucocytes in my urine but no trace of nitrites.my symptoms include: lower pelvic pain burning sensation while urinating but also i have an increase in vaginal discharge. could this be a uti or something else?

Hello dear,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
your symtoms seem to be related to urinary tract infection.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Taking antibiotic for 7 to 14 days
-Drink lots of water.
-Empty your bladder frequently as soon as you feel the need to go
-Choose showers over baths.
-Wipe from front to back.
-Keep your genital area dry by wearing cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothes.
