Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Ulcer in mouth can be simply a canker sore that can be caused due to a number of causes like eating something very spicy or sour, reaction to any food or medication, nutritional deficiency, biting of mucosa with teeth etc..

It can also be due to viral infection..

As far as HIV is concerned the symptoms does not appear so soon and it can take for about years for the symptoms to appear..

So do not worry about it..

In case if you are doubtful about the HIV exposure, you should get a HIV test done for confirmation..

For now for the ulcer in mouth you can apply Lidocaine gel over it and take Vitamin B complex daily..
Do warm saline gargles..
Hopefully the ulcer will resolve in a week or even less..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
