Hello and welcome,

I understand that there is a diastolic notch in the umbilical artery blood flow in the ultrasound.

This umbilical artery is the one that carries blood to the placenta to get it mixed with oxygen. A notch indicates that there is a small decrease in blood flow in this vessel when the heart is relaxing [ diastole].
This is not a very big issue and must be interpreted in context with other positive findings if any like presence of low baby weight or less amniotic fluid or advanced age placenta. The only factor present in your case is a grade 3 placenta.
As it is only a notch and liquor as well as baby weight are OK, there is no need to worry as of now. You will just need more frequent follow ups and take more water and proper diet to help growth of the baby. The doppler may be repeated as per the advice of your doctor to follow up if there are any other changes.

Meanwhile, this is not a finding to worry about but it just needs more monitoring. So just relax.

Hope this satisfies your query.
