Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has a lump on the inside of her nostril. It is on the opposite side of the septum(inside of the outer side of the nose)closer to the end of the nose. Not near her sinus. What could this be? Other than it not causing her pain, she says it keeps getting bigger and brought it to my attention yesterday.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Maninder's Response
Hi,
With such presentations in my clinic, my first diagnosis would have been nasal polyp since the condition as described by you is not painful and is growing in size.
In my clinical practice, I have seen cases of dramatic improvement to complete resolution of nasal polyps by its use. In absence of response to treatment, I recommend systemic corticosteroids like Prednisolone.
If none of the measure works and the lesion causes obstruction, surgery is the last option to remove it. Please discuss the treatment options with your primary care physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Maninder, General & Family Physician

What Does A Lump In The Nostril Indicate?
Hi, With such presentations in my clinic, my first diagnosis would have been nasal polyp since the condition as described by you is not painful and is growing in size. I recommend you a trial of nasal corticosteroids like Fluticasone propionate for 4–6 weeks for her.
