hi doctor,
i'm 24yr old.i've 11th month old baby.recently i missed my period.it's already 7days left.used home pregnancy test kit on today morning.it showed a single dark line with in 10 mins but after 30mins it showed a light,pale second line.i'm confused with that whether it's pregnacy?or not?

Hi and welcome to HCM. A single dark line in urine pregnancy test is most likely negative (in most of the home pregnancy kits 2 lines indicates pregnancy). Delayed periods when breast feeding is common. Any reading within 5 minutes is reliable, but after 30 minutes reading is not considered. If you have doubts read the literature given along with the kit. You are less likely to be pregnant, if your periods wont come back then please consult a local gynaecologist for further action.
