What Does A Growth On The Cornea Indicate?

Hi. I am 41 female. 8 years ago I had something growing on my cornea. Had a cornial graft and this year they implanted a lens made for the cornea to correct astigmatism. But it was not a success. My vision is worse now. What I want to know is why I would see little purple spots when looking at my white coloured bath. There are not spots in or on it. I am thinking that it may involve my ocular nerves?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

What you have informed is confusing nothing can grow on cornea and lens implant is only iol. Nothing can be implanted to correct astigmatism. It is suggested that consult ophthalmologist for examination and correct estimation of real problem. The case required to be presented properly so that some advise can be given to be helpful to you. It can not involve optic nerve in corneal involvement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
