OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Holoprosencephaly is a development anomaly of the brain and can be found in chromosomal anomalies, various genetic syndromes and can be found as an isolated anomaly also.Babies with holoprosencephaly do not have normal developmental milestones and can be mentally retarded.
Facial dysmorphism is a common association with holoprosencephaly.
I would suggest you to consult a fetal medicine specialist and get proper counselling, so that you can confidently decide whether to continue pregnancy or not.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
