What Does TSH Level-5.35 And Calcium-11.2 In Blood Tests Suggest?

Hi my tsh level is 5.35 and my calcium is is a 11.2 and ionized calcium is at 5.6 high end of normal. My free t4 is a 1.2 and my cholesterol is high. I was also just a few months ago diagnosed with high blood pressure. Previous blood tests showed low vitamin d at 20 and high phosphate at 114 also a couple years ago my thyroid peroxidase was high. No one seemed concerned by this and I m just not feeling my best and haven t for awhile. It seems like I m going in every few months for blood tests and nothing really is being done until as of late my Dr. maybe starting to suspect something and wanting to do more than just bloodwork. From what I ve read on the internet it sounds like hypothyroid and also hyperparathyroid. What is more likely the culprit and can a person have both or does it sound more like cancer. Any advice is appreciated!

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I read your concerns and i am trying to give you some suggestions related to your situation.
You are diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism with an autoimmune ethiology (as antiTPO was high some years ago), but you didn't mention what your signs and symptoms are? Together with your age, they would be of help to decide whether to start the treatment for hypothyroidism or not.
About the high calcium and phosphate level, there is no correlation with hypothyroidism, but another cause would be tried to find out.
Parathormone level, alkaline phosphatase, the level of calcium and phosphate in urine would be of help at your case.
Hope your query are clearer now!

Kind regards,
Dr.M.Guni
