What Does HSG Mean?

good afternoon. I had an HSG done. The results state that there is opacification of both tubes with mild dilation of the distal portion of the right tube suggestive of hydrosalpinx. Faint bilateral intraperitoneal spill is noted.

Be aware that I only have my left ovary. My right ovary was removed 13 years ago due to a demoid cyst in it.

Of course I do not understand 100% what the results of the HSG mean

Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic. Thank you for your querry.
This is hydrosalpingogram and it showed dilatation of tube which can be caused by many serious and less serious disorders. In your case it doesnt sounds serious and it seems like there was some kind of infection and inflammation in past which caused fluid accumulation. If you are asymptomatic you dont need any sepcific treatment.just do frequent US check ups and thats it. WIsh you good health.
