Is this normal
I understand your query. You have had unpleasant obstetric experiences.
The single HCG value does not give me any idea. I must know the duration of pregnancy as well as trend in HCG to comment on it.
However I must say that you can get a repeat value done after 48 hours to see if it is doubling. If it is, it is more likely an intrauterine pregnancy. if it has been more than 5 weeks since your last menstrual period, get a transvaginal ultrasound done to check for pregnancy.
Try to communicate your queries with your doctor. It would be better still if you take your husband with you so that you feel more confident and are able to ask your queries. I understand your issues. If still you feel that there is a communication issue or you are not satisfied, try seeing another doctor with whom you may be more comfortable.
