What Do You Suggest For A Suture Sight On My Foot With Pain?

I have a suture sight on my foot (after extensive foot surgery, hardware inserted, etc.) that has been slow to heal. Surgery was Dec. 19, 2013. Suture is still open, although slowly closing. I have been soaking it in Hibiclens and water then drying with sterile pad then covering. I am not diabetic nor a smoker. I have other suture sights on the same foot and they have all closed. Horrible pain, although not infected. After the horror stories, will avoid Hydrogen Peroxide and alcohol for daily cleansing of the wound. Should I allow it to breath or cover? Do anything differently?

i would not recommended to soaking it with water if it is not closed. Aremargins are red or painful to touch.I would recommend you to apply cream like mupirocin or neomycin to seal of wound so dust should not go in side and cover it with dressing. I would also advice you to consult your surgeon if any fluid is coming out. Keep your leg elevated when you are sitting or sleeping. Avoid prolong standing.,
